Bit of a different session today, as we read through the first draft of the script for the summer show! It's always helpful to get input and see what our members like! Helen will now go away and incorporate the ideas from today's session in to the final script, so that we can hand these out on the 1st of July when the Summer club starts! We also had fun playing some drama games - it's nice to have sessions like this between shows to relax and have a bit of a giggle! See you all next week :)
We had load of fun at our aftershow party on Monday! We even had a spontaneous dance competition! Photos are now in the gallery. See you all on Monday!

We're also moving to a new building after easter (Kirktonholme Hall, 110 Kirktonholme Road, Westmains, East Kilbride, G74 1BD). If anyone has any problems finding their way for the first time - please call Helen for advice! The 31 bus goes past the hall. We are off on Monday 1st April for easter, and Monday 8th April will be the first day in the new hall. Please don't go back to the Alison Lea after easter as the council are knocking it down so it might not be there!
We had a quieter class today, due to the unexpected blizzards! But we still had a lot of fun playing games and practicing some of the new dances for the show!
Another fun rehearsal! This is shaping up to be a good show!

Congratulations to Betty McEwan who won our raffle on 1st December!
Lots going on at K-Otic just now, so apoligies for being a bit quiet! As you may know, we are officially a registered charity now, which will make fundraising easier. There are big changes coming to the website over December so keep checking for updates, hopefully shouldn't have the website down for longer than a day. Today's class was run by Megan and was a huge success - everyone is doing really well with their lines so well done!
Thank you to everyone who sponsored us for our walk around the James Hamilton Heritage Loch! And to those who came by our stall in East Kilbride Town Centre last week - we managed to raise almost £800 from these two events alone which is just fantastic! There's photos from these events under the 'fundraising' link above. Also, click here to see the article in the East Kilbride news :)
Well, it certainly has been a great first few weeks back at K-Otic! There has been a few changes, but I would say we are having even more fun than ever! Just a small reminder to anyone who has not paid yet to speak to Helen at the next meeting! And everyone keep badgering your family and friends for sponsor money for our sponsored walk next Sunday!
Well, the show yesterday could not have gone better! Well done to everyone for doing such a good job! Well done everyone for auditioning yesterday! Everyone did really well and I hope you're pleased with the casting! First read through of the script went quite well, so get learning lines everyone as there's just over 4 weeks until the show! We can do it! Also, look out for our article in the EK News, photographer did take a lot of photos....
Had a fantastic start on Monday! Unfortunatley, we were unable to obtain the liscence to present 'We Will Rock You" for our show in August. However, we will now be working on a script adapted from a story written by one of our members - 'Mermaid of the Sea' by Sean Keir. Looking forward to auditions on Thursday! Remember there are parts suitable for everyone, so come along with something prepared, or simply just tell us why you think you'd be good at the part you want!
Good news week at camp K-otic! Funding has been recieved from Awards for All, and the website should also be live from today. Only 39 days until we begin our Summer term, see you all soon!
