~Workshops~

Our workshops are laid back and a lot of fun! Each session is different depending on what we are doing, but usually we will begin with some movement warm-ups with our choregrapher before playing some drama warm-up games to excercise our minds and encourage creativity and communication skills. If we are working towards a show we will then work on helping the cast with their lines and dances before having a quick break around halfway through the class (juice and snacks are provided), then after the break we will either work on some more of the show or get into groups and improvise scenes, play some creative games or or sit in a circle and play drama games by taking turns around the group. All of our scripts/dances/workshops are tailored around the individual abilities of our members so we can include everyone at a level they are comfortable with. For details about times and dates, see the bottom of this page.

~Joining Us~

Our main aims for the classes are that everyone has fun and is free to express themselves in their own way! We welcome anyone who feels they will enjoy and benefit from the classes, regardless of ability or diagnoses. Our members have a wide range of abilities and many of our members have physical disabilities or are non-verbal.

If it would help you/your family member/the person you support to have a personalised guide with descriptions and photos of what to expect from the classes, then please feel free to get in touch through the 'contact' links above and this can be sent out by post free of charge. If there are any other barriers to attending the classes, please get in touch and we will try to do what we can to work around this. The first class is always free if you'd like to come along and see what we get up to! We also have performances throughout the year if you'd like to come and see us - details are in the 'events' link above!

~Our members~

Our members have a wide range of abilities and everyone is different, so there is no pressure on anyone to do anything they feel they are not able to do, but we will always encourage everyone to do their best! Our aim for each session is to ensure that everyone has a good time and feels more confident about their abilities.

Carers/parents are welcome to stay and watch if they wish, or go for a coffee and some respite.
